Dr. Kelner has practiced professionally as a neuropsychologist and clinical psychologist for over 27 years.She completed her Ph. D. studies at McGill University and has worked in Montreal as a neuropsychologist as part of a medical team of specialists offering diagnostic and clinical services, supervising students, and collaborating with ongoing clinical trials for neurodegenerative diseases.She is a clinical and research consultant for clinical centers designing specific assessment batteries to evaluate a variety of cognitive complaints (ADHD, neurodegenerative diseases, functional diseases, and traumatic brain injury). In her private practice, she has worked with physicians and other professionals in the community contributing to improve the understanding of their clients.Dr. Kelner is a registered psychologist and certified neuropsychologist with l\u2019Ordre des psychologues du Qu\u00e9bec (OPQ). English \u2013 French \u2013 Spanish.<\/p>\n<h2>Neuropsychological assessments&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<h4 style=\"\"><strong><strong>What are the steps involved in a neuropsychological assessment?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>It will require two sessions to complete the assessment :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"\"><span style=\"\">During the first session, which lasts one whole day, your neuropsychologist will administer different tests in order to measure certain cognitive aspects. After the evaluation, your neuropsychologist will analyse the results and produce a detailed report. This step may take a few weeks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"\"><span>During the second session, your neuropsychologist will explain the results to you. She will provide recommendations and will suggest resources according to your needs. The goal is to offer different options and to guide you through your options.
