    Psychologist and director of PsyMontréal's training and coaching services, Dr. Jean-Marc Assaad regularly offers conferences and training in motivational interviewing to various government agencies and private companies. D. in Clinical Psychology from McGill University, where he also taught.

  • Adam Vissargov

    B.Sc., Master of Clinical Psychology Candidate

    Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science and Education from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium), Adam is currently completing his Master's degree in Clinical Psychology under the supervision of Sean Scanlan. He is distinguished by a practice characterized by attentive listening and pronounced empathy towards his clients. Adam adopts a cognitive-behavioral approach, focusing on principles of respect, compassion, and active listening. In this final phase of his master's program, his goal is to provide personalized support to individuals facing a variety of psychological challenges, both intra- and interpersonal. Guided by a passion for improving mental well-being, Adam fully engages in his practice, consistently striving to meet the needs of his clients with sensitivity and professionalism. He is fluent in English, French and Russian.

  • Alexandra Maduro

    M.A., c.o., Psychotherapist

    Alexandra is a licensed guidance counsellor and psychotherapist in Quebec. She completed her M.A. in Counselling Psychology and M.Sc. in Psychiatry at McGill University. Alexandra has experience working with youth and young adults undergoing difficulties related to life transitions, academic and work-related stress, interpersonal relationships, grief, anxiety, and depression. Alexandra recognizes the courage it takes to seek counselling and commends those beginning this journey. She strives to provide her clients with a safe and supportive space to explore their thoughts and feelings and works collaboratively with them to facilitate personal development and achievement of their goals.

  • Emery Wehrli

    M.Ed., Counsellor

    Having completed her bachelor's degree in psychology at McGill and her master's degree in counselling psychology at the University of Ottawa, Emery is currently working towards obtaining her licenses with the OCCOQ and OPQ. Emery is bilingual, LGBTQIA+-affirming, has experience working with individuals of diverse ages, and dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and accepting space. She offers a wide range of coaching services and is passionate about providing compassionate care and collaborating with clients to help them achieve their goals.

  • Leily Rojas-Ferreira

    B.A., Master of Counselling Psychology Candidate

    Leily is pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and is completing a practicum under the supervision of psychologist Sean Scanlan. With experience working in social services, Leily’s therapeutic approach is centered around respect, empathy, and working collaboratively with clients to guide and help them attain desired goals. Leily is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, and hopes to support a variety of clients through the toughest of circumstances and instill hope for a brighter future.

  • Leyma Mir

    M.A.. Counsellor

    Leyma Mir obtained her bachelor’s in psychology at McGill University and her master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Leyma seeks to understand her clients’ internal unique experience through a collaborative and supportive approach to help overcome life’s difficulties. She focuses on academic, personal, and health coaching. She aims to accompany her clients on their path to become the best versions of themselves by providing a warm, empathic and safe space.

  • Maria Mireault

    M.A., Psychologist

    Maria Mireault obtained her Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Concordia University. She has more than 20 years of experience working in hospital settings, community mental health centres and in private practice. She works with adults of all ages who seek therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, academic or employment-related stress and relationship issues. In her practice, she uses cognitive behavioural approaches (CBT, ACT and DBT) as well as mindfulness and compassion-focused interventions. She provides a caring, supportive role to help clients recognize and build upon their strengths. Her clients develop skills to move past difficult thoughts, emotions and unhelpful behaviours associated with life’s challenges and shift focus toward personal values and goals that will enable them to live a more meaningful life.

  • Nathalie Prieto

    M.Sc., Mental Performance Coach

    As a Mental Performance Consultant (MPC), Nathalie's mission is to help individuals achieve their goals while enjoying the process and enhancing their overall well-being. She creates an open and safe space through which her clients develop and reinforce mental skills that are useful both on and off the field. Nathalie has worked with a wide range of performance domains including athletes, coaches, teams, Esports and business leaders. Her experience as a personal trainer, speaker and athlete make of her a consultant with a wide variety of skills to adapt to the client’s unique experience and needs. Nathalie holds a Master's degree in Human Kinetics concentration in Intervention and Consultation from the University of Ottawa.

  • Samantha Dimitriadis

    M.A., CCC, Counsellor

    Samantha aims to understand her clients’ experiences and collaboratively work with them to develop fundamental skills. She helps her clients through their concerns while providing a warm, empathetic and safe space without judgment. Samantha obtained her bachelor’s in psychology at McGill University and her master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

  • Sean Scanlan

    M.A., Psychologist

    Sean Scanlan is a licensed psychologist with over 10 years of professional experience and completed his training at McGill University. He has worked in a variety of settings with individuals and groups including private and public health settings, as well as in community crisis intervention. Sean uses a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach, an integration of CBT and ACT, and specializes in working with people who struggle with emotional or interpersonal problems, as well as issues such as chronic pain and fibromyalgia and other chronic illness and health issues. His objective is to provide a warm, accepting, and safe atmosphere in which difficulties can be explored in order to collaborate to find workable solutions and help individuals get back to living a meaningful life. Sean also provides individual and group supervision to graduate level interns and equivalency candidates for the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ).

  • Tianshu Li

    M.Ed., Counsellor

    Tianshu completed her master’s degree in counselling psychology at the University of Ottawa. She is currently working towards her guidance counsellor registration and psychotherapy permit. She has experience working with adults, ethnically diverse clientele and the LGBTQ + community. She currently offers coaching services in English and Mandarin for academic and lifestyle-related issues. Her approach is informed by cognitive behavioural therapy, person-centred approach as well as acceptance and commitment therapy. Tianshu aims to create a safe space for clients and to collaborate with clients in overcoming the difficulties in their lives.
