Motivational interviewing

Motivational interviewing (MI) is a method of communication use to increase client motivation to engage in behaviors that will promote health and wellness. Numerous empirical studies have shown that motivational interviewing (MI) is an efficient tool used to promote and motivate healthy life choices pertaining to nutrition, physical activity and adherence to treatment guidelines for example.

Public trainings

PsyMontreal offers different types of public trainings. The level I introductory two day training offers an overview and concrete tools and strategies while the level II (advanced) trainings provide in-depth insights on motivational interviewing.
